Mary Sue Moore was born July 28, 1954 in Knoxville, Tennessee to June E. and June E. (Brown) Maner. She was reared and educated in Oakridge, Tennessee. Following her high school graduation Mary moved to Tulsa. It was there she met her future husband; on March 3, 1986 she married Kenneth “Allen” Moore. The couple made their home in Tulsa before moving to the Foyil area 12 years ago. In 1987 Mary returned to the class room and earned her associates degree in business. She later obtained her computer programmer’s accreditation and began a career as a computer programmer. When time allowed Mary enjoyed painting and volunteer work. She was a friendly face at The Good Samaritan Ministries here in Claremore. Mary was also a member of First United Methodist Church and loved worshiping with her church family.
Those family members that survive include her husband Allen of their home in Foyil; her daughter Kim Bartmier and husband Brian; her brother Harold Maner and her sister Ruth Ann “Ruthie” Tudor; her grandchildren Stephanie and Sammie Smith, and Seth Bartmier; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Those who wish to honor Mary’s memory with a memorial contribution may contribute to Multiple Sclerosis Foundation National Headquarters Donations, 6520 North Andrews Ave., Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309-2130.
