Graveside services of Mary Frances Watson, 81; a resident of Claremore, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 5, 2018 at the Ottawa Indian Cemetery, 11400 S 613 Rd, Miami, Oklahoma. Visitation will be Sunday February 4, 2018 from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. at MMS- Payne Funeral Home. The Family will greet friends from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.
Mary Frances passed away Wednesday January 30, 2018 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was 81.
Born October 16, 1936 in Coffeyville Kansas to Orville Stern Lander and Clara Bell Goldey. Mary was happiest at the lake with a fishing pole in one hand and a Pepsi in the other, catching crappie was her specialty. It was not uncommon to hear her singing “You Get A Line I’ll Get A Pole”. She was an amazing craft woman, artist, quilter, and seamstress. She was always willing to help her grandchildren with a school project or mending clothes for all who needed it. She loved travel and adventure, the back roads of this United States always beckoned to her.
Mary Frances is survived by her children Faye Watson, Chris Watson and wife Ella, Theresa Larson, Tim Frieze, Bill Frieze and wife Tammy, son-in-law Clint France, 16 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren, sister Floretta Price, brother Michael Lander.
In addition to her husbands Gordon Frieze and C.W. Watson she was preceded in death by a daughter Kim France, her parents Orville and Clara Bell Lander, sisters Dora Marie, Betty, Deloris, and Ruth.
