Mary Ellen Wilson

Funeral service for Mary Ellen Wilson will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2016 at the Sanctuary Christian Worship Center. Pastor Garry Wilson will officiate. Burial will follow at Chelsea Cemetery under the direction of the Chelsea Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 7, 2016 from 1-8 p.m. with family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m.
Mary Wilson went home to be with the Lord on March 4, 2016 at the age of 89.
The daughter of Ivan and Leona Tatum Robison was born in the Murphy community in Mays County, Oklahoma on February 10, 1927. She would later attended Mays County Schools. Later she meet Alfred L. Jones. They would marry in 1953. To this marriage 3 children were born. Following the death of Alfred, Mary met Ulis “Dud” Wilson. They married in December of 1958. All of Mary adult life was spent living in Chelsea. There she focused her life around her family and church.
In her spare time Mary loved helping people. Sewing was one of her specialties, and was often called upon to help. Other enjoyments were playing the piano, and oil painting.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husbands, Alfred Jones, and Ulis “Dud” Wilson.
Survivors include her children, Ronald Wilson and wife Carolyn of Verdigris, Robert Jones and wife Treva of Lynn Haven, Florida, Wesley Jones of Claremore, and Marilynn Gibson and husband Douglas of Chelsea; 10 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Wanda Kilgore and husband Algie of Diboll, TX; brother, Elmer Robison and wife Beulah of Livingston, TX; brother-in-law, Harvey Jones and wife Annie along with many extended family and friends.
