Max Arron Eddy

August 26, 1961 — May 24, 2012

Funeral service for Max Arron Eddy will be 10 a.m., Tues., May 29, at First Baptist Church of Inola with Rev. Gregg Hall officiating. Visitation will be held at the Inola Funeral Home & Crematory Mon. 6-8 p.m.

Max went to sleep to rest on Thurs., May 24, 2012, at his home at the age of 50.

The son of Lawrence D Eddy and Betty Lou (Brunson) Eddy was born Aug. 26, 1961, in Pryor. Max attended schools in Tulsa, Tiawah, and Inola. He graduated high school from Spring Vale Academy (a Church of God boarding school) in Owosso, MI, in 1980. After graduation, Max worked in the construction business with his dad for awhile. He later became a machinist and worked for several different machine shops. Max owned M.E. Construction Company doing concrete work and septic system installations. He worked for American Airlines from 1998 until he was laid off in 2003. Again he worked his construction company until he went back to work for American Airlines in March 2009 in Ft. Worth, TX. He was there until he was transferred to Tulsa in June 2011.

When Max was very young he like to take his dog and go fishing in his Grandpa's ponds. He loved to ride horses all over the pastures, and especially trail riding. Max would ride for hours on Winn Ingersoll's ranch which connected behind Max's place. He had several horses that he raised and trained. Once Max was invited to help with a cattle round-up and branding on a large ranch in Colorado. A week of staying in the bunk house with all the other cowboys, and working the cattle, was "a dream come true" for him! Max loved to dance and he met Carolyn his "love" at a dance. They enjoyed each other as much as the dancing, and they have been dancing ever since. Another thing they enjoyed was taking the boat to Grand Lake on weekends, especially the 4th of July and watching the fireworks.

God tells us we are each unique. Max certainly was. He could hold a good conversation with anyone from 2 years to 102 years old. He was so interesting and fun, and he loved to make people laugh!

Max is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: A.K. "Tobe" and Minnie Brunson; and paternal grandparents: Dewey and Mavis Eddy.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn of the home; daughter, Sabrina Nicole Eddy of Sapulpa; son, Wesley Keith Eddy of Broken Arrow; mother, Betty Lou Eddy of Claremore; father, Lawrence Eddy and wife, Sue of Claremore; sister, Margaret Hall and husband, Kyle of Ft. Smith, AR; granddaughters: Alexis Nicole Hendrix and Kynlee Westt Eddy of Broken Arrow; 4 nieces, 4 nephews, 1 great-niece, 4 great-nephews, many uncles, aunts, cousins, and a host of friends, and we can't leave out his beloved dog, New-B.
