Michael Ray Bevard

Memorial service for Michael Ray Bevard will be 10 a.m., Fri., April 15, at the Inola Funeral Home Chapel. Michael died Sun., April 10, 2011, at his home at the age of 49. The son of Raymond Leon Bevard and Sherry Nadine (Peacock) Gaines was born Oct. 30, 1961, in Broken Arrow. He attended school in Broken Arrow until the 8th grade. He then attended Sequoyah schools, and was on the first football team to play on the new field. He was also the first player to kick a field goal on the new field. Michael also played basketball and baseball in high school. He graduated from Sequoyah High School in 1980; and continued his education at Claremore Junior College where he earned a baseball scholarship. Michael worked as a welder at Process Pipe in Claremore for many years, and was most recently working at Dieco Manufacturing. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
