On March 11, 2017, Michael Kedzior passed away at age 44, after a long battle with brain cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Michael was born March 6. 1973 in Meriden, Connecticut. He is survived by his parents, Edward and Genny Kedzior of Claremore, his children, Taryn and Dylan Kedzior of Claremore, his sisters Tracy Jennings and Dr. John Jennings of Tulsa, and Wendy Smotherman and Dr. Jason Smotherman of Honolulu, Hawaii. Nieces are Peyton, Sydney and Houston Jennings of Tulsa. Nephews are Jake and James Smotherman of Honolulu, Hawaii.
The family moved to Claremore in 1980, where Michael quickly made friends. He loved sports. He was a New England Patriots fan. In High School he was on the track team and played football. He is a graduate of Claremore High School.
Michael played football for the University of Tulsa. He was a member of the 1991 team, which was inducted into the University’s Hall of Fame. He earned a degree in Business Administration and went on to graduate school.
He seldom complained. He had a sense of humor and the ability to make people relax and laugh. He had a creative trait with words. He owned and operated Miket Ads. Michael was a devoted father who loved his children and fought to the end to have them in his life. He will be remembered for his unselfish acts of kindness, loyalty, and respect for others, and for his athleticism.
The service to celebrate the life of Michael Kedzior will be held Saturday March 18th at 2:00 pm at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Claremore.
