Services for Michael Glen Lagers will be 2:00p.m., Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at MMS-Payne Funeral Home Chapel, burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 20 from 1pm--8pm. Michael passed away at home on Friday, December 16th at the age of 63.
Born in Granby, Missouri on September 14, 1953 to Glen H. and Edna(Workman) Lagers, Michael was raised and educated in Claremore where he graduated with the Class of 1972.
Michael and Brenda Battenfield were married in Miami, Oklahoma and one daughter, Lynse Faye completed this union.
Michael has worked for Midwest Cooling Towers since 1989 travelling to many states and Costa Rica supervising the construction of cooling towers for several oil refineries, ethanol plants, coal fired plants, and NASA. When he had time at home he enjoyed brush hogging and tending to the herd of longhorns.
Michael is survived by his wife Brenda and daughter Lynse, of the home, sisters, Glenda Henson, Cathy England and her husband Guy, and Marsha Floyd, all of Claremore, Mother-in-law, Faye Baker(Mama Faye), Step Mother-in law, Audine Battenfield, both of Claremore, brother-in-laws, Brett Battenfield, John G. Baker, and Darrell Battenfield and Shelly, all of Claremore, many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Michael was preceded by his parents, brother-in-law Bud Henson, father-in-laws, John A. Baker and Charles Battenfield, niece, Brandi Ann Battenfield and several aunts and uncles.
A very special heartfelt thank you to Dr. Kevin Weibel at Oklahoma Cancer Specialists, nurses Beth Reinwald and Lupe Ramirez at St. Francis Hospice for the all loving care given to Michael and family.
The family requests donations in Mike's name be made to St. Francis Hospice, 6600 S. Yale Ave., Suite 350, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74136, in lieu of flowers.
