Michael Hardin Seals went home to be with his Lord on January 2, 2019 at the age of 70.
The son of Emanuel and Georgia Kellum Seals was born December 13th, 1948 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. As he became older he began attending Tulsa Public Schools, graduating from Booker T. Washington in 1967. He then moved to the Oklahoma City area. However, after a very short time he was called to serve his country. He joined the United States Air Force, where he would serve two tours in Vietnam. Upon his discharge he returned home to Tulsa. There he met Anna Stephenson. They began dating, and married on July 8, 1972. The newly wed couple made their home in Ponca City, where Michael had began his career with Conoco Oil. During his working career, Michael became a mechanical Inspector. This job would take him to several places all over the world. He and his family lived in places such as England, Denver and Baltimore, just to name a few. In 1983 Michael's life would take another unexpected turn. He was invited by a friend to attend church. This became his first trip of many to Inola. He became a regular member of Unity Temple Family Church. In 1995, after years of commuting from Ponca City, he and his family moved to the Inola area. Michael was very active in the church and held many positions. He sang in the sanctuary choir, served as Sunday School teacher, President of Pastors Aid, and even served as a Deacon.
In his spare time Michael had many hobbies and past times. He loved fishing, cooking, and drag racing. Over the years he owned several of his own race cars. However, none of his past times compared to the enjoyment he got from spending time with his family and church family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Emanuel and Georgia, and brother Emanuel, Jr.
Survivors include his wife Anna; son, Deandre Adamson; sisters, Janette Parker, Georgiann Belton, and Marla West, and brother Gerald Seals.
