Michele Fae Wheeler

 Michele Fae Wheeler (Daugherty) of Chelsea, OK was called home by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on February 19th, 2025, after receiving care at Cornerstone Specialty Hospital. She was seventy-nine years old. Michele was born in Taft, California on May 21st, 1945, to Oceola Daugherty and Eliza Mae (Statton) Daugherty. Michele spent her time growing up between California/Oklahoma and eventually made her way back to Oklahoma with her family. She was a member of the of Claremore High School graduating class of 1964. Michele married Alan Tubbs of California in 1968. After parting ways, she met her Mr. Wheeler Honey. December 20th, 1980, she married Leonard Wheeler at the First Methodist Church of Sand Springs. Blended, they were blessed with 10 children. Michele was tirelessly devoted to her family and had a servant's heart. It brought her indescribable joy to serve and love on others. Throughout her young adulthood and later years, she worked as a dispatcher for the Los Angeles police department, served as a home health aide as well as Activity Director for those with special needs with Home of Hope, and Hallmark. Michele was cherished as mother as well as adored and admired as a friend to all. She ensured every soul had a place in her heart, and that you were hers. Michele was a devout member of the Chelsea Church of Christ. Aside from being with her family and/or at church, Michele’s favorite place to be, was Cedar Island North Carolina. She selflessly and joyfully served and cared for those she loved. She ensured everyone’s needs were met, even at times above her own. She faithfully followed Jesus and when things got tough, she turned to Him. She unfalteringly reminded everyone that “we’re not promised tomorrow, and to make it count”. And as always, she ended every phone call with a “Muah baby, I love you baby” Michele is survived by her children. Mike & Melissa Tubbs, Scott & Niki Tubbs. Through Leonard Wheeler. Irvina Lawrence, Vickie & Lee Baysden, Lynn Wheeler, Diane Reyes, Leonard (LJ) & Amber Wheeler, Christy Nunley, Megan & Nick Neal.
