Funeral service for Mildred Alice Losey will be 10 a.m., Thurs., Dec. 29, at the Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Chapel with Pastor Weldon Foster officiating. Burial will follow at Oakhaven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Funeral Service & Crematory. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wed. 1-8 p.m., and family will greet friends 6-8 p.m.
Mildred died Mon., Dec. 26, 2011, at her home at the age of 86.
The daughter of Frank Gilbert and Dora Lee (Lester) Evans was born Oct. 4, 1925, in Tulsa. She attended Harmony Star School. On Sept. 3, 1942, Mildred married Lawrence Earl Losey in Claremore. Mildred was a homemaker, and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She enjoyed raising flowers, and spending time with her family.
Mildred is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence in June 2011; her parents; brother, Bob Evans; and son-in-law, Jerry Posey.
She is survived by her children: Vernon Lee Losey and wife, Carolyn of Claremore, Linda Marie Cordray and husband, Everett of Madisonville, TX, Donna Kay Posey of Claremore, and Kathy Jean Peck and husband, Al of Ponca City; grandchildren: Ron Losey of China, John Losey and wife, Bailei of Claremore, Kim Daniel and husband, David of College Station, James Cordray of College Station, Seth Ann Beaird and husband, Brad of Owasso, Eric Rutherford and wife, Lesleigh of Claremore, Jared Peck of Newark, CA, Jonathan Peck of Ponca City, and Jennifer Peck of Ponca City; and great-grandchildren: Morgan Losey, Jacob and Lindsey Daniel, Michael and Joshua Cordray, Katie and Ethan Beaird, Kennedy, Zoe, Journey, and Sophie Rutherford.
