Mira Josephine Dees

A Funeral services for Mira Josephine Dees will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at 10:00am at MMS-Payne Funeral Home Chapel. 

Mira Josephine (Glover) Dees, aged 87, passed away on Saturday, November 4th, 2023. She was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on September 8, 1936. Jo, as she was affectionately known, had a varied career as an electronic assembler and also worked in the retail field.
She was raised in the Sageeyah community alongside her two brothers and three sisters, under the loving care of her parents, Nelson and Mae Glover. Throughout her life, Jo's family grew with the marriages of her siblings and her husband Bobby's siblings, resulting in seven sister-in-laws and six brother-in-laws. These close family bonds led to joyous gatherings that brought happiness to Jo, her husband Bobby, and their children, Kaylin and Mark.
Jo held a special place in her heart for her son-in-law and daughter-in-law, considering them a true blessing in her life. Her extended family was vast, including three nieces, thirteen nephews, five granddaughters, one grandson, and ten cherished great-grandchildren.
Alongside her immediate family, Jo also cherished her lifelong friends, Lou and JW Grisham, and their three children. These friends held a dear place in her heart, further enriching her life.
In addition to her love and devotion to her family and friends, Jo had a deep passion for music, artwork, and the thrilling world of horse racing.
Jo was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bobby, and her daughter, Kaylin. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who knew and loved her.
