A graveside service will be held at the Chouteau Cemetery in Chouteau, Oklahoma on Friday at 10:00a.m.
Myrtle Alene Binam was born February 27, 1932, in Inola, Oklahoma , to Willis and Grace Honeycutt. She passed peacefully with her children by her side, at the age of 89 on July 6, 2021. She was raised on a farm in Inola with her seven brothers and seven sisters. She attended Gregory School in Inola, Oklahoma. Soon after her school days she met and married Arthur Jess Binam from Inola. They had three children, Maxine, Odell, and Russell.
Alene was known for her great desserts: fried Apricot pies, Cinnamon Rolls, Strawberry Cake , Chocolate Chip and Christmas Cookies, homemade noodles, and biscuits and gravy. She loved cooking for her family and fixed everyone’s favorite.
Granny loved all her grandchildren, Debbie Adair and spouse Lloyd, Michala Arthur and spouse Shawn, and Nathan Binam and spouse Krista, and her great-grandchildren, James and Jared Adair, Taryn and Dylan Kedzior, Lakyn Binam, and Reese Arthur. She had five great-great- grandchildren, Cole, Tegan and Enid, Genevieve, and Alistair.
Alene was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Jess Binam and their son Russell Dean.
She is survived by her children Maxine Gaiche and husband Lloyd, Cedarville, Ar. Her son Odell Binam and wife Debbie of Claremore and her three siblings, Ola Osborn, Inola, Ok, Ellen Wilson, Broken Arrow, Ok, Rollo Honeycutt, Foyil, Ok and long time friend Thomas Garcia, as well as many nieces and nephews and extended family.
