The daughter of Glenn and Dorothy (Evans) Williams, Nancy was born November 24th, 1943 in Macomb, Illinois. As a young girl she was raised in the Comanche and Clinton area of Iowa. While attending Clinton High School, Nancy was first introduced to Charles P. Utsler Jr through a friend. However, this introduction wasn't face to face, but through the mail as pen pals. During this time Charles was serving in the U.S. Navy and was ecstatic to have someone to write back and forth with. Upon his discharge Nancy and Charles would finally get to meet. They would begin dating and were married on March 19, 1961. The newlywed couple would move to Miami, Oklahoma. There Nancy would finish her senior year of high school graduating with the class of 1962. Eventually they would make their way back to Iowa, where they would begin raising a family. During this time Nancy was first introduced into health care, while working at a local nursing home. In 1981 things would change again for Nancy. She learned one daughter was heading to college and another was getting married. With this news Nancy and her entire family moved to Chelsea, Oklahoma to be closer to both. With a local college nearby, Nancy decided to continue her education, earning a degree in accounting. A few years after that, she decided to follow her true passion of working in health care and earned a degree in nursing. This led her to a long career that started in the burn center at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, and ended in retirement in 2015 from the Intensive Care Unit at Hillcrest Hospital in Claremore.
In her spare time Nancy had many hobbies and pass times she enjoyed. She loved crocheting, cross stitch, and tole painting. She also loved reading, with a wide range of favorites that stretched from Steven King thrillers, to historic, and modern day nursing. Her taste in music was just as broad ranging from Black Sabbath, John Denver, and Mack Davis. However, her true love revolved around her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Dorothy Williams; brother, David Ridge; husband, Charles Utsler Jr.; and grandson, James Utsler.
Survivors include her children Cheri Ramsey and husband Johnny, Wendi Mitchell and husband Cris, Chris Utsler and wife Mary, and Melissa Tubbs and husband Michael; 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; sister Dorothy Mack and many other extended family.
