A memorial service celebrating the life of Nathan G. Morrow will be 11:00a.m., Monday, February 3, 2014 at Inola Christian Church. Nathan passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at the age of 87.
Born on February 18, 1926 in Miami, Oklahoma to George Nathan and Dolly Pearl (Lindsey) Morrow. Nathan received his education from Wyandotte School, graduating with the class of 1944, following high school he entered the Army and honorably served his country. Nathan returned to Miami and continued his education at NEO. Broken Arrow was home for a time before moving to Flint Ridge, Kansas. He moved back to Oklahoma…and the last fifteen years has been spent in Inola. Nathan worked for Coast To Coast Moving (Red Ball), Autocrane and Douglas and he also owned his own business, Nate’s VW Salvage and Repair.
Nathan was a great mechanic and could fix just about anything needing repairs. He enjoyed traveling and would take several trips a year with his wife in their RV. Fishing and camping were other hobbies that he loved. His family was most important to Nathan and he had many good times with them.
A caring husband, father, grandfather and friend, Nathan will be missed by all who knew him. Those family members that survive include his wife Margaret of their home in Inola; his children James Morrow and wife Dorothy of Broken Arrow, Rick Morrow and wife Bridgette of CarthageTexas, Linda Caudle and husband John of Red Bluff, California; his sisters Edith M. Osborne and husband Ike of Texarkana, Arkansas, Fern M. Bieslsey and husband Richard of Altoona, Kansas and Sharon M. Sheeks and husband Perry of Cotter, Arkansas; grandchildren Tina Tamboury and Tony Tamboury both of Red Bluff, California, Sarah Shelton of League City, Texas and Chris Morrow of Tulsa and 7 great grandchildren. Nathan was preceded in death by his parents; brother Paul Morrow and sister Deloris M. Sharpe.
