Nicole Shyann Jackson

A celebration of Nicole's life will be held on Monday, December 4, 2023, at 11:00 am at Destiny Life Church in Claremore, OK, followed by burial at Woodlawn Cemetery in Claremore, under the direction of MMS-Payne Funeral Home.

Nicole Shyann Jackson, born on September 11, 2000, in Claremore, OK, passed away on November 10, 2023, in Tulsa, OK. She was the beloved daughter of Robert Friend and Keishanna Jackson.

Nicole spent her school years in Claremore before continuing her education at Edison Prep. In high school, she showcased her musical talent by playing drums in the school band and also had a passion for playing basketball. She found joy in watching movies and adored the beauty of sunrises and sunsets.

Nicole had a vibrant personality, often seen sporting loud colors in her clothes and shoes. She was known for her encouragement towards school attendance, especially among children. Her compassionate spirit led her to volunteer work, particularly aiding the homeless. Nicole was a youth leader in her neighborhood and found solace in the simplicity of sleep, nature, and raising roses.

She loved attending the fair, going on walks, and harbored a special fondness for cats. Nicole cherished her family dearly. She is survived by her father, Robert Friend, her mother, Keishonna Jackson, and Ariel Fox. Additionally, she leaves behind her son, Aasim Jordan-Mansur, and his father. Nicole is also survived by her grandfather, Jesse Jackson, Paw Paw (Foe) Anthony Holmes, aunts, Evonna Ford, Sheretha Ford, and uncles, David Ford, and Jesse Jackson, Jr., her siblings, Zach, Dakota, and Loveah, along with numerous cousins and extended family members.
