Norma Jean Pryor

Norma Jean Mathews Pryor passed away on March 5th, 2022. She was born on June 6th, 1928 in Miami, OK to Elmer and Ella Montgomery Mathews.
Norma graduated from Commerce High School in 1946. She spent the next few years working, first at Miami Sales, and then at the Commerce Bank.
Norma married Beauford E. Pryor on November 20th, 1954, and they made their home in Oklahoma City, OK. She was employed at Oklahoma National Bank until her retirement. She was a member of the Southern Hills Baptist Church; where she was an active member of her Sunday School class and the fellowship group, Be Active Live Longer. Some of her hobbies included bowling with her bank league and traveling with her family. Later in life she married Joe E. Shannon.
She is preceded in death by her husbands Beauford E. Pryor and Joe E. Shannon; her parents Elmer and Ella Mathews; brother Wayne Mathews and wife Arlene, sister Virginia Moudy and husband Milton, and brother Merle Mathews.
Norma is survived by her daughter Lana J. Gregory; son Larry R. Pryor and wife Kimberly; four grandchildren Jennifer R. Linkenheimer, Brent M. Gregory and Shai D. Burke, Megan Pryor, and Jacob Pryor and fiancee` Justine Tenney; two great-grandchildren Abby M. Linkenheimer and Jayden M. Gregory; and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.
Norma Jean was truly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
