Funeral service for Norma (McDaniel) Staley will be 11 a.m., Wed., July 2, at MMS-Payne Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Michael Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tues. 1-8 p.m.
Norma passed away Sun., June 29, 2014, at Wood Manor Nursing Center at the age of 86.
The daughter of Arthur E. and Ethel (Agnew) Allen was born Nov. 22, 1927, in Tulsa. She attended school at Daniel Webster High School in Tulsa. In 1946, Norma married Perry L. McDaniel, Jr. They made their home in Tulsa before moving to Claremore in 1965. On June 26, 1976, she married Ivan L. Staley in Bentonville, AR. Norma worked for Murphy Switch Company in Tulsa for several years, and later went to work for Centrilift as a tool attendent. She retired in 1987. Norma and Ivan enjoyed traveling and camping in their motorhome with friends. She also enjoyed fishing, sewing, quilting, and going to the Claremore Senior Citizens Center.
Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan in 1990; her parents; and her sister, Wilma Cooper.
She is survived by her children: Perry McDaniel, III and wife, Jayne of Claremore, and Deborah Genzel of Cleveland; siblings: Mary McCullough of Tulsa, and Arthur E. Allen of Fairview, MO; 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
