Norman Klass, 86, passed away on March 28, 2022 in Tulsa. He was born on August 6, 1935 on the family farm outside of Adair to Arnold and Clara Klass. Norman grew up and spent his entire life on the family farm. He worked for Burlington Northern Railroad as a conductor for 47 years, 3 hours and 16 minutes. Norman married Ola Mae Oney in 1969 at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Adair where he was a lifelong churchgoer. They were married for 49 years until her death in 2018. He loved working for the railroad and being a conductor for the railroad and the opportunity it gave him to travel and see new places. He was a hard worker who enjoyed traveling, going on drives, people watching, talking to people, eating at buffets, reading his paper and dogs. He loved spending time with Comet, the family dog, who passed away the following day on March 29. It was only fitting the two of them went to heaven together to be reunited with Ola Mae. Norman is survived by his daughter Marcy Klass and her daughters Brittany and Cassidy Jones; his son Clark Klass and his daughter Peyton Klass; his son Ned Klass and his daughter Kenlee and wife Lisa; and his former son-in-law David Jones. Norman was preceded in death by wife, Ola Mae Klass and parents Arnold and Clara Klass. Norman was buried with Comet at a private graveside service held on March 31, 2022 at Dawes Cemetery in Chelsea by MM Payne Funeral Home.
