Ollie Bell Marlin

Funeral service for Ollie Bell Marlin will be 10 a.m., Thurs., Oct. 6, at Claremore Assembly of God with Revs. Dave Mewbourne, Curtis Owens, and Don Dorsey officiating. Burial will follow at Washington Cemetery under the direction of Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Funeral Service & Crematory. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wed. 1-8 p.m., and family will greet friends 6-8 p.m.

Ollie went to be with the Lord on Sun., Oct. 2, 2011, at her home at the age of 87 years, 7 months, and 29 days.

The daughter of P.D. and Mandy Ella (Woods) Denton was born Feb. 3, 1924, in Porum. Ollie attended school at Maple Grove in Talala, Oologah Grade School, and Tiawah High School. On April 13, 1940, she married the love of her life, Glyn Luther Marlin, in Pryor. Ollie was a lifetime member of Claremore Assembly of God, and a member of the Golden Ages. She loved spending time with her grandchildren; and enjoyed watching wildlife in her backyard.

Ollie is preceded in death by her husband, Glyn in 1978; and 9 siblings.

She is survived by her son, Bill Marlin and wife, Rose Ann of Claremore; daughters: Glenda Andrews and husband, Travis of Claremore, and Darlene Harper and husband, Keith of Chelsea; grandchildren: Shelly Long and husband, Danny, Brian Marlin and wife, Chrissy, Daniel Marlin and wife, Jennifer, Kim Reynard and husband, Marty, Kristi Franks and husband, Bob, David Andrews and wife, Shelly, Dayna Weast and husband, John, Debbie Shockley and husband, Brad, and Darren Andrews and wife, Brandi; great-grandchildren: Tucker Long, Jaxon and Gavin Marlin, Macy and Pate Marlin, Cody and Caylor Reynard, Rylee and Rykker Franks, Tyson, Trevor, and Shelby Andrews, Ashley Burbridge and husband, Nick, Johnny Weast and wife, Felicia, Johnna Weast, Justin and Loren Shockley, Tisha Crisp, and Ava Andrews; great-great-grandchildren: Hunter, Kally, and Skylar; sister, Mary Washburn and husband, Calvin of Tulsa; and lifelong friend, Virginia Rhine of Claremore.
