The daughter of Roscoe and Lula Wesley Mofield was born September 15, 1931 in Summerset, Kentucky. She was raised in Kentucky, before moving to Las Cruces, New Mexico. Once there she began working as a car hop at the local A & W Rootbeer. A short time later while working, she met Bryce Brown a young soldier stationed at the local Army base. They were married February 18, 1955 in Las Cruces. After Bryce was discharged they moved to Adair, Oklahoma. The next several years Pat and Bryce traveled working pipeline. When her children became old enough to start school, she quit traveling. She stayed at home to make sure her children and home were taken care of. In the early 1980's she and Bryce built Osage Hills Golf Course in Adair. They ran it for several years before leasing it out. Her hobbies included raising flowers, shopping and canning the produce she raised in her garden.
She is survived by her husband, Bryce of the home; children: Duane Brown and wife, Susan of Chelsea, Sharon Brown of Adair, and Pamela Colwell and husband, Cord of Adair; 13 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
