Patty Priest Wadley

Funeral services for Patty Priest Wadley will be 2 p.m., Mon., March 28, at the Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Chapel with Revs. Janelle Brammer and Tom Launius officiating. A Private family burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sun. 1-6 p.m., and family will greet friends 2 to 4 p.m.

Patty died Wed., March 23, 2011, at Claremore Nursing Home at the age of 84.

The daughter of Emerson Albert Priest and Ethel (Charles) Priest was born March 13, 1927, in Bartlesville. She graduated from Claremore High School in 1945. Upon completing her credits as a junior in high school, she went her Senior year to Tulsa University then graduated with her class. She also played in the TU Band.

Patty was previously married to Robert L. (Bob) Wadley and they had two children, Robert, Jr. and Cheryl. Patty was a homemaker and helped run Wadley's Shoe Store. She went back to school at Claremore Jr. College and was in the first graduating nursing class in 1982. Patty was a Certified Psychiatric Nurse and worked at Children's Medical Center in Tulsa and at the State Prison in Amarillo, Tx. She was very proud of her nursing career.

She was a very artistic person; and enjoyed painting with all media, needlepointing and knitting. She also enjoyed collecting antiques. She was a past president of Aladdin Club. She was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church for many years and First United Methodist Church recently. Patty enjoyed being active in the community in her earlier years.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Patty is survived by her son, Bob Wadley and wife, Jane of Port O'Connor, TX; daughter, Cheryl Daniel and husband, Curt of Claremore; grandchildren: Quintin Wadley, Aaron Wadley, Kacy Bainbridge, Marni Grass, Corey Daniel, and Jeff Daniel; and 6 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 1615 N. Hwy. 88, Claremore, OK 74017, or First Presbyterian Church, 102 E. 4th St., Claremore, OK 74017.
