Dr. Paul A. Gregoli

Funeral service for Dr. Paul Armand Gregoli will be 11 a.m., Sat., June 4, at Inola United Methodist Church with Pastor Michael Shepherd and Deacon Erastus Franklin officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery under the direction of Inola Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Fri. 1-8 p.m., and family will greet friends 5-7 p.m.

Paul passed away Sat., May 28, 2016, at the age of 54.

The son of Armand Anthony Gregoli and Elizabeth Maud (Dunagan) Gregoli was born Nov. 3, 1961, in East Orange, NJ. At the age of 13, the family moved to Tulsa where Paul attended Holland Hall and ran cross country. He graduated in 1980. For three summers between 1980-84, Paul assisted in R& D in laboratory and pilot plant operations exploiting technology developed and patent position in commercializing water continuous emulsion technology. Paul graduated with a B.S. in Biochemistry with Honors in Biology in 1984 from Tulane University. He went on to serve as a graduate student teaching assistant at Vanderbilt University and was very active with the Methodist Youth Group. In 1988, he graduated with an M.S. in Molecular Biology from Vanderbilt University. He continued his education at University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center where he served as a Graduate Student Research Assistant with the Dept. of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. In 1994, he earned his Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Paul did his postdoctoral and advanced postdoctoral research at Vanderbilt University with the Division of Gastroenterology for 12 years. He was a professor at Murray State College Science Department for 6 years; and was currently serving as an adjunct professor at Oral Roberts University and Tulsa Community College.

Paul was involved with the Boy Scouts at Boston Avenue Methodist Church, Troop 20, and went on to become an Eagle Scout in 1978. He was also involved with an Explorer troop and traveled all over the US and Canada.

Paul was fascinated with all science, including geology from an early age, collecting precious stones. He also loved gardening, walking, and traveling. He attended Inola United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth in 2013.

Survivors include his son, Jonathan Dewayne Gregoli of Melissa, TX; father, Greg Gregoli of Inola; brother, Mark Gregoli and wife, Molly of Inola;and nephew, Luke Gregoli..
