Memorial service for Paul Milton Horner will be 11 a.m., Monday, March 2, at MMS-Payne Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tom Launius officiating.
Paul passed away Thurs., Feb. 26, 2015, at Oklahoma Heart Institute, Tulsa, at the age of 60.
The son of Amos Edmond and Elaine Addie (Boyd) Horner was born April 2, 1954, in Wheaton, MO. He attended Cassville schools, and enjoyed playing basketball whenever he could. Paul married Mary Dale McWilson in Ottawa, KS. They made their home in Kansas and Missouri, before moving to Claremore in 1986. Paul spent most of his working career with Safeway and Homeland as a store manager. He later worked for Atwood's and owned 3 independent distributorships. Paul loved being outdoors, especially fishing. He also enjoyed working cattle, brush hogging, and spending time with his grandchildren. In his earlier years he enjoyed riding motorcycles.
Paul is preceded in death by an infant daughter, Thena Beth Horner; his parents; and siblings: Sue, Gene, Maxine, Jack, and Larry.
He is survived by his wife, Mary of the home; children: Bradley Horner and wife, Mindy of Wesley Chapel, NC, Dru Horner and wife, Angie of Claremore, and Tiffany Paisley and husband, Ben of Claremore; grandchildren: Maci Joy Horner, Aaron Horner, Andy Horner, and Macen Horner; siblings: Mike Horner and wife, Louise of Claremore, Pat Horner and wife, Mary Ann of Cassville, MO, Melainie Jo Tichenor and husband, Wendell of Springfield, MO, Louise Corder of Tulsa, Glen Horner and wife, Linda of Independence, MO, Charles Horner and wife, Judy of Bella Vista, AR, Belle Willman and husband, John of Kingwood, TX, and Janie Harvey of Springfield, MO; and sisters-in-law: Linda Horner of Eagle Rock, MO, and Shirley Weatherly of Shell Knob, MO.
