Funeral service for Paul Eugene Ludwick will be 10 a.m., Thurs., Dec. 6, at the Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Chapel. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m., Fri., Dec. 7, at Kismet Cemetery, Kismet, KS. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wed. 1-8 p.m., and family will greet friends 6-8 p.m.
Paul died Sat., Dec. 1, 2012, at Hillcrest Medical Center, Tulsa, at the age of 74.
The son of Charles and Bernice (Bruner) Ludwick was born Oct. 6, 1938, in Kismet. He graduated from Liberal High School in 1957, and went to work in the oil fields around Kansas. On Feb. 26, 1957, Paul married Norma Lee Denton in Clayton, NM. Paul later went to work for Uniroyal in Kansas, and in 1972 as a mechanic for Goodyear in Claremore. He also worked as a bus mechanic for Sequoyah schools, Foyil schools, Justus-Tiawah schools, and Rejoice Christian School in Owasso for many years. He retired from Sequoyah schools in 2000. Paul enjoyed his work and also working in his shop, "Paul's Place". He also enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
Paul is preceded in death by his wife, Norma in 2009; parents; and siblings: John Ludwick, James Ludwick, David Ludwick, and Lillian Strahan.
He is survived by his children: Michael Ludwick and wife, Cindy of Claremore, Jim Ludwick and wife, Pat of Claremore, Rock Ludwick and wife, Leslie of Fargo, ND, and Paula Barnes and Mike Morose of Claremore; grandchildren: Jeanette and husband, J.C., Jamie, Christina and husband, Cliff, Krystal and husband, Zach, Mallory, Clay, Kenzie and husband, Sean, Jesse, and Krista; great-grandchildren: Coty, Kyle, Normandie, Alissa and husband, Alex, Alia, Jay, Abby, and another great-granddaughter due Dec. 12; great-great-granddaughter, Emery; and brother, Tommie Ludwick.
