Paul David Pinkston

Service for Paul David Pinkston will be 2:00p.m., Monday, August 1, 2016 at Foyil Assembly of God Church, pastors Jack DaMico and Darren Hall will officiate. Burial will follow at Winganon Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Sunday, July 31, from 1pm--6pm. Paul passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital. He was 60.

Born December 29, 1955 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Elmer and Mildred (Phipps) Pinkston, Paul went to school in Tecumseh and later graduated high school at Alluwe. Following his graduation, Paul began working in the coal mines. He learned through on the job training the art of welding and later began working for GEA Rainey. In 1983, Paul married Janet Sue Voight and they made their home in the Chelsea area.

Paul was an avid hunter and fisherman, he enjoyed spending time outdoors in nature. He loved spending time with his family and taught them a board game called Pollyann. Paul loved the Lord and worshiped at Foyil Assembly of God Church until health challenges kept him from attending. He was interested in helping people when he saw a need, and Paul was a very forgiving person. Football and basketball were among his favorite sports to watch and he cheered his beloved OU to victory often.

Those family members that survive include his wife Janet Pinkston of their home; his children Allison Pinkston of Grove, Jessica Kennon and husband Randy of Jenks, Gary Hayes and wife Effie of Broken Arrow, Alicia Thompson and husband Jonathan of Chelsea, and Amanda Cochran and husband David of Tulsa; grandchildren Hailee Pitts, Cheyanne Smart, Kameron Thompson, Natalie King, Trent Hayes, Ethan Thompson, Aidan Gifford, Asasha Kennon, Kinley Gifford, and Valori Hayes; his siblings Carolyn Hefner of Chelsea, Pearlene Moore of Shawnee, Lena Cook and husband Jim of OKC, Gladys Green of Chelsea, Corky Pinkston of Claremore, John Pinkston and wife Linda of Alluwe, Joe Pinkston and wife Ann, Annie Most and husband Rodger, Tim Pinkston and wife Millie all of Chelsea, Danny Pinkston and wife Rose of Tahlequah and Steve Pinkston and wife Laura of Claremore. Paul was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents George and Lillie Pinkston and John and Effie Phipps.
