Burial will follow in Wards Grove Cemetery under the direction of MMS-Payne Funeral Home.
Pauline passed away from this life into the arms of her Savior on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at the age of 83.
Pauline was born to Melvin and Pearly Mae (Couch) Scott on July 7, 1934, in Foyil, Oklahoma. This is where she grew up and attended school. Somewhere around the 5th grade she found her love of basketball. Over the next several years her talent continued to grow and she became one of the schools best players. Her junior year she was considered the top scoring forward of Rogers County. Pauline was a competitor and it showed. At her 50th anniversary Zelma Francis shared a memory about Pauline saying she would rather "guard anyone but Pauline Scott". She graduated as a member of the class of 1952. It was also while in school during her junior high years that she met James Bradfield. In the years to come the two would begin dating and married on March 29, 1952, in a Bentonville, Arkansas ceremony. The newlyweds returned home to the Foyil area, and would begin their future together.
Pauline excelled as a homemaker. She was famous for her delicious pies. Her sewing was remarkable, she was talented enough to make her daughters wedding gown. She even enjoyed crocheting when time allowed, but caring for her family was her true love. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and she was always so proud of their accomplishments.
In her spare time Pauline enjoyed bowling. She also never lost her competitive nature. From 1979 through 1999, Pauline attended many national bowling events. However after a light stroke in 2003 she decided to put away her bowling ball.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Daniel "Sonnie" Scott, Bobby Scott, Chester Scott and Wilburn Scott; sisters Irene Mooney and Ailene Pennington and a infant brother.
Those left to mourn her passing are her husband James W. Bradfield, Jr., children, Vicki J. Girkin and husband Brian of Talala, and Stephen Bradfield and wife Deanna, and Linda K. Sappington and husband Allan, all of Claremore; grandchildren, Dewayne Littlefield and wife Selvia of Altus, Jason Littlefield and wife Hope of Talala, Mark Littlefield and wife Kellie of Owasso, Brandon Bradfield and wife Kristen of Claremore, Brett Bradfield and wife Kelsey of Kansas City, KS, Tony Sappington and wife Jennie of Oologah, Ryan Sappington and wife Krista of Collinsville, and Colton Sappington and wife Jessica of Claremore. Also seventeen great-grandchildren, twelve great-great-grandchildren, and sisters Lorine Hudson of Blue Springs, MO, and Mary E. Andrews of Trimble, MO.
