Funeral service for Billie "Pauline" Lewis will be 10 a.m., Mon., Dec. 17, at First Baptist Church of Chelsea with Rev. Jay McAlister officiating. Burial will follow at Chelsea Cemetery under the direction of the Chelsea Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sun. 1-6 p.m., and family will greet friends 4 to 6 p.m.
Pauline passed away Wed., Dec. 12, 2012, at Wood Manor Nursing Home at the age of 95.
The daughter of William Craten and Mamie Viola (Church) Tatum was born April 24, 1917, in Nowata County. Pauline married Clay Edward Lewis. She was of the Baptist faith, and enjoyed sewing, cooking, crocheting, and spending time with her family.
Pauline is preceded in death by her husband, Clay; her parents; brother, Fred Tatum; sister, Lula Dawes; and 1 great-granddaughter, Madison.
She is survived by her children: Rosa Adair and husband, Bill of Chelsea, Alma Pattison and husband, Homer "Pat" of Colorado Springs, CO, Sue Gueco and husband, Randy of Covina, CA, and Jack Lewis and wife, Mary of Chelsea; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; and siblings: Lizzie Dick of Claremore, Walter Tatum and wife, Loretta of Joplin, MO, and Bill Tatum and wife, Audrey of Palestine, TX.
