Claremore

Peggy Sue Sanders was born to Tommie and Joyce Holt on October 23, 1958, in Claremore, Oklahoma.

Peggy was blessed to be raised by a great role model and father figure, Lowell J. Lutz and mother Joyce Yvonne Lutz.  She passed away on September 5th, 2023, she was 64 years old.

Peggy spent her childhood moving coast to coast living the Navy life! She was proud of all the adventures traveling the U.S. with her parents, Lowell and Joyce Lutz in the Navy. She finally settled down with her parents following the Navy life in Claremore, Okla.

Peggy later moved to Tulsa, Ok where she married Darren Sanders on Oct 17, 1988 and became a stepmother to his three daughters. After the passing of Darren on June 19, 2013, she would live her remaining time in Oolohah, Okla. Peggy enjoyed spending time out doors and at the lake. She spent countless hours investigating and researching family history. She would collaborate with her cousin/bonus sister, Catherine Sumter on genealogy and they would walk countless cemetery’s reading headstones for research. Peggy loved her family, but found deep joy in her grandchildren. As a grandmother she would always surprise them with little trinkets. She would never come empty handed!

Peggy is survived and loved by her children; daughter Melinda and spouse, Roy Wheatley; son Anthony, and spouse, DeAnna Lutz; Step-daughter Ashleigh Sanders;

Siblings; Debbie and spouse Jim Rubner and their 3 children, sister, Nancy Smith and her 2 children.
Grandchildren; Stephanie Michelle Walsh, Roy Edward Wheatley Jr., Dillon Christopher-Winford Wheatley, Dustin Micheal Wheatley, Tia Lee Wheatley, David Anthony Wheatley, Nichole Lynn Lutz, Zachariah David Rogers, Jonathan Michael Rogers, and Mia Gracie Glenn. She was blessed with 8 GREAT grand babies!

Peggy is preceded in death by her son, David Lowell Glenn and parents, Lowell and Joyce Lutz.

Peggy finally has her wish to be with her son, David Lowell Glenn. RIP together forever! 357”
