Phillip Michael Bronson passed away on October 9th, 2024. He was 51 years old. Phillip was born to Ronald Lee Bronson and Lois Jean McKeehan (Sanchez) in Emporia, Kansas on February 26th, 1973. He attended Neosho Public Schools, and later attained his GED in 2003. After his high school years, he attended NEO on a rodeo scholarship as a bull rider competing in the Central Plains Circuit.
Bull riding was always one of Phillips passions, he got on his first bull at 15 years old and competed until 2017. Throughout his bull riding career, he had numerous accomplishments including 1993 ACRA Rookie Bull Rider of the year and ACRA 1993 Bull Riding Champion. During his rodeo career, aside from riding Phillip raised a PBR World Finals qualifying bull “Wine Hu.”

They made their first home in Reeds, Missouri in November 1998. They lived in Missouri until 2004. They planted their roots in Northeast Oklahoma where they built their dream home and established the PBJ Cattle Co in 2006.
Phillip worked for Midwest Foundations in Joplin, Missouri from 2004-2024 and CF industries from 2013 to 2015. During his career at Midwest, he worked his way up the ladder from ground hand to operator and foreman. Phillip was a true cowboy at heart that was always on the move and looking forward to his next adventure. Phillip enjoyed spending his weekends at the lake with his friends and family, water skiing and tubing. Phillip was an outdoors man, whether he was fishing, hunting, riding his motorcycle, or taking care of their cow/calf operation which he took much pride in.
