Phineas passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at his home in Claremore at the age of 58.
The son of Phineas and Nancy Funk Dickinson was born September 30, 1954 in Montauk, New York. He attended Montauk elementary, and graduated from Pomfret prep school. After graduation he continued his education at Oklahoma State University. There he earned a degree in history. He then began working on his masters degree in International Management at the Thunderbird School of Global Management. This degree took him to London, England to study at Oxford University. Upon completion of his degree he began working in the Dallas area. He worked for companies such as Aerospaciale Helicopters and Bank Boston. In August of 2012 he moved to Claremore. There he began helping his family at Shepherds Cross & Heart of the Shepherd. He was a man who was a good conversationalist, so helping visitors around the farm was a natural thing. Also he became a figure that the interns looked to for guidance, as well as other family members. His hobbies included golf, scuba diving and travel.
He is preceded in death by his parents Phineas and Nancy, and sister, Anne Howell.
Survivors include his wife, Jan Dickinson of Dallas, TX; daughter, Lauren Dickinson Patterson and husband, Hayden of Dallas, TX, stepdaughter, Brandi Martin and her children; sister, Peg Koyle and husband Kent of CO; brothers, Pete Dickinson and wife Diane of Claremore, and Bill Dickinson and wife Judith of VA; 3 grandchildren; and numerous nephews and cousins.
