Ray Raynor passed away on January 15th, 2022, at the age of 85. Ray was born July 13, 1936 to Walter and Dorothy Raynor in Glendale, Arizona. Ray attended Verdigris school and later graduated from Claremore High School in 1954. He graduated from the University of Tulsa with a Petroleum Production Engineering Degree. He also served in the U. S. Army Reserves. He worked at Baker Hughes until his retirement. in 2003.
He met the love of his life Deana Brown through mutual friends. They married on May 6, 1967 in Verdigris. They settled down in the Claremore - Sequoyah area where they built a life and raised a family. Ray and Deana had 54 wonderful years together.
Ray and Deana were members of North Park Trinity Baptist Church..
He loved to work in his garden, go fishing, take pictures, read, and was a great story teller. He also enjoyed watching OU football and basketball games and cheering for the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Above everything else he loved to spend time with his family and grandkids.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Walter and Dorothy Raynor and one grandson Devin Raynor.
Ray is survived by his wife Deana Raynor of the home; son, Allen Raynor and wife Tommi of Rogers TX; daughter, Karen Boston and husband Dan of Owasso; sister. Phyllis Arnold and husband Sonny; grandchildren; Mark Raynor of El Paso, TX; Rebekah Raynor of Fort Collins, CO; Ryan Raynor of Rogers, TX; Aaron Raynor of Denver, CO: and Abby Boston of Owasso and great grandson Ronin Lopez of Owasso as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the general fund of North Park Trinity Baptist Church.
