Raymond Wesley Dotson

Raymond Wesley Dotson was born on February 14, 1956, the son of Howard and Minerva Dotson. He went to be with his Savior on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 surrounded by his family and friends.  While his family is so broken hearted, we are thankful he passed from this earth so peacefully and quickly.  Ray is with the Lord Almighty and will forever be in our hearts.  

Ray graduated from Mansfield High School in 1975.  He met Kathy Coday, the love of his life in 1975 in Mansfield, MO.  They were married on February 24, 1977 and soon made their home in Claremore where they would live for more than 45 years.  Ray began his 42-year career in the pipe, valve and fittings industry.  Ray had two children, Wendy and Matt who had his endless love and support.  Ray enjoyed watching his grandchildren in all their activities and sports. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Claremore for the last 27 years where he served and was very involved in his Sunday School class.  He loved his church family, friends, relatives, and especially his children and grandchildren, and expressed it often.  Ray loved the Lord with all his heart. He will be greatly missed by all those whose lives he touched. 

He is survived by his precious wife of 46 years, Kathy, children and spouses, Wendy and Jess McKinney of Claremore, and Matt and Tiffany Dotson of Bixby.  His grandchildren: Dru and wife Melody, Landon Velez, and Logan Dotson; Halle, Anna, Maddox, and Cade Dotson, all of which had his unconditional love.  

He is survived by his siblings Bonnie Detherage and husband Dean, Martha Cole, Rhonda Goodman, Connie Borders and husband Norman, Garland Dotson and wife Stormy, Brad Dotson and wife Candy, and Clay Dotson and wife Tamara.  He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral Service will be Monday, March 6th, 10:00am at the First Baptist Church of Claremore.
