Allen's career path was a reflection of his strong work ethic. Starting at a mobile home dealership, he later transitioned to Anchor Stone before ultimately becoming a truck driver. Known for his friendly demeanor and ability to strike up conversations with anyone, Allen had a way of making people feel welcome and valued. While he could be mischievous at times, his straightforward nature endeared him to those around him.

Beyond work and family, Allen found solace in trading cars and seeking out the perfect deal. He enjoyed enhancing his purchases through tinkering, often involving his sons in the process.
