Reba Myrtle Caldwell

Funeral service for Reba Myrtle Caldwell will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at the Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Chapel. Pastor Helen Warmuth will officiate. Burial will follow at Lone Elm Cemetery.

Mrs. Caldwell passed away September 15, 2010 at her home in Claremore at the age of 74.

The daughter of Bill D. and Dica Catlett Buster was born March 30, 1936 in Collinsville, Oklahoma. She was raised in the Collinsville where she also attended the local schools. A few years later she met Jimmie Caldwell. They were married December 15, 1955 in Hollis, Oklahoma. Soon they moved to Irving, Texas. There she began working for Texas Instruments. After several years in Texas she returned to Claremore in 1972. She then began operating the Best Western restaurant retiring in 1984. Her hobbies include reading, traveling with her husband, John Wayne movies and Elvis music.

She is preceded in death by her parents Bill and Dica; brothers Jim and Frank and grandson Quinton Willis.

Survivors include her husband Jimmie of Claremore; son, Mike of Claremore; daughters, Teresa Priest of Dewey and Martha Wormuth of Tulsa; sisters, Lucille Price of California, Dorothy Adkins of Avant, Juanita Selley of Pryor and Shelia Harris of California; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Memorial may be made to the American Lung Association.
