Richard Dale Donahue

Funeral service for Richard Dale Donahue will be 2 p.m., Fri., July 3, at Inola United Methodist Church with Pastor Michael Shepherd officiating. Visitation will be held at the Inola Funeral Home Thurs. 1-8 p.m., and family will greet friends 5-7 p.m.

Richard passed away Mon., June 29, 2015, at his home at the age of 54.

The son of Ernest Dean Donahue and Mary Ellen (Ryan) Donahue was born Oct. 19, 1960, in Tulsa. Richard attended Will Rogers High School, graduating in 1978, as well as attending Vo-tech in the auto mechanics program. Richard worked for PSO in Oologah, Baldwin Steel Company, and most recently Exterran Energy Company where he was head of maintenance.

On April 30, 1999, Richard married Sandra Lee Fernandez in Eureka Springs. They made their home in Inola where they attended Inola United Methodist Church.

Richard's passion from a young age was fast cars. He loved restoring and building motors for race cars and drag racing. He also enjoyed restoring old cars.

Richard was preceded in death by his father, Dean.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra of the home; children: Ryan D. Donahue of Tulsa, Aaron L. Welch of Tulsa, Krysten Taylor and husband, Reid of Tulsa, Misty A. Miller and husband, Kenny of Owasso, and Michele M. Holmes of Tulsa; mother, Mary Donahue of Inola; grandchildren: Dylan Welch, Kylie Welch, Adlee Taylor, and Charlee Ann Taylor; brother, Mikel Donahue and wife, Christie of Broken Arrow; and nephews: James and Daniel Donahue.
