Richard Seth Harrison

A memorial service will be held on Thursday July 21, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Skelly Drive Baptist Church in Tulsa ,Ok.
Richard Seth Harrison passed away on July 15, 2022 at the age of 82. Richard was born to William and Dimple Harrison in Bowie, Texas on May 5, 1940. Richard grew up in Temple, Texas and graduated from Temple High School in 1958.

After graduating high school Richard worked with A & P grocery stores as a store manager in Texas, then in 1969 he moved his family to Tulsa, OK and worked in the automotive parts business with AC-Delco, a division of GM until he retired. Richard enjoyed his retirement years spending time with family, traveling, and encouraging many as he was often out and about seeing the many friends and former customers of his. He was a longtime member of Skelly Drive Baptist Church and was often there, making things better or doing what needed to be done. He was truly a servant, caring for family, friends, and others. He loved people. He was generous. He enjoyed giving many a hard time too in his own good natured way. That was Richard. He was Mr. Wonderful to many, often saying that was his name as he smiled. He indeed was a wonderful man and he’ll be missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Dimple Harrison, his first wife of 55 years, Judy Harrison and one step-daughter, Diana Rutland.

Richard is survived by his wife, Ann Harrison; sons, Steve (wife Susie), Ric (husband Ricky Joe), and Michael (wife Julie). His sister, Judy Lynn Ramsey, brothers, Nick (Shellie), Frank (Kathy), and sister-in-law, Andrea Barrows (Jon). Step-children; Debbie Clary (husband Stephen), Robert Smith (wife Aimee Garcia-Escribano), and Steven Rutland.

He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; Seth, Rachel, Cooper, Hannah, Kramer, Quincy, Rebecca, Ruth, and Ryan along with 3 great-grandchildren. Plus, 7 step-grandchildren; Lauren, Michael, Megan, Katie, Abby, Sam, Anna, and 3 step great-grandchildren.
