Richard L. Trainer Jr.

Funeral service for Richard L. Trainer, Jr. and his mother, Jean Isbel Trainer, will be 11 a.m., Wed., Jan. 5, at the Chelsea Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Richard L. Billings officiating.

Richard died Sun., Jan. 2, 2011, at the Oklahoma City VA Medical Center at the age of 61.

The son of Richard Lyle Trainer, Sr. and Jean Isbel (Edmondson) Trainer was born Nov. 3, 1949, in Iola, KS. He graduated from high school in Arkansas City, KS; and went on to serve in the U.S. Navy as a Corpsman. He most recently had worked at the VA Medical Center. Richard was a member of the American Legion and Elks Lodge.

He is survived by his brothers: David M. Trainer and wife, Kathy of Midwest City, and Bill Lee and wife, Marilyn of Wichita, KS; sister, Trena Fischer and husband, Gary of Amarillo, TX; 4 nieces and 2 nephews.

Richard is preceded in death by his father, Richard Lyle Trainer, Sr. in 2000, and his mother, Jean Isbel Trainer on Dec. 31, 2010.
