Service for Robbie Erbeck will be 10:00a.m., Friday, May 5, 2023 at MMS-Payne Funeral Home Chapel, burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday, May 4, from 4pm-8pm.
Roberta (Robbie) Erbeck joined the love of her life, Christopher, in Heaven Friday morning, April 28, 2023. Robbie was born to Robert Cole and Beatrice Ibbitson on August 17, 1948 in their home in Wrentham, Massachusetts. She grew up in the community of Hanson attending IndianHead Elementary School and graduating as a Panther from Whitman-Hanson Regional High School in 1966. Together with Joe Nevulis, they had two kids-Robert Charles in 1967 and Joan Patricia in 1974. In 1985, Robbie met the love of her life, Christopher Erbeck. Chris lived in Florida and Robbie in Massachusetts, they spent many weekends flying back and forth to spend every minute they could with each other. Together with their children on a snowy Saturday evening on January 10, 1987 Chris and Robbie were united in marriage. Robbie joined Christopher in Florida in March of 1987 where they lived for two more years. In 1989, Robbie and Chris moved to Oklahoma for Chris’s job with American Airlines.
Robbie worked part time at Claremore Florist and then she worked at Claremore High School as the school secretary. Everyone referred to her as the lady from England due to her New England accent. She left Claremore High School to open her own catering business, Roberta’s Fine Catering in Will Rogers Hotel in Claremore. In 2005, she and Chris left Claremore and built a home in Langley on Grand Lake and enjoyed sailing together. Then, in 2010 Chris and she returned to Claremore to be closer to their family. In December of 2017, Christopher passed away with Robbie by his side. Robbie loved to entertain, travel with Chris and her kids and grandchildren. Her favorite place to visit was the Berkshires in Massachusetts with her best friend Joanie and husband Steve. She would also visit her other best friend Maureen and have happy hour. Her proudest thing in life besides Christopher was her grandchildren.
Robbie is preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Christopher Erbeck; her parents Robert Cole, Beatrice and Hollis Ibbitson; sister Patricia Jordan; sisters-in-law Beverly Murray, Janice Altwein, Joyce Booth, and Bertha Erbeck; brother-in-law Carl Winch.
She is survived by her son Robert Nevulis and wife Gail of Kissimmee, Florida; Jennifer Erbeck of Lewisburg, Tennessee; Stephanie and husband Lt. Col. Brian Epperson of Alexandria, Virginia, Joanie and husband Kyle Franklin of Nowata, and Julie and husband Matthew Hopkins of Lynnville, Tennessee. She is also survived by her grandchildren Neisha and James Thompson, First Class Petty Officer Julia and Andrew Greeley, Kimberly and Andrew Bokeno, Dakota and Cody Zak, 1st Lieutenant Collin and 1st Lieutenant Hannah Epperson, Dr. Dallas and Caleb Garven, Kennedy Epperson, Kole Franklin, Kory Franklin, Jonathan Hopkins, Samuel Hopkins and two great grandsons Dane and Mason Zak. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Frederick Booth and niece Tracy and husband Robert Gaston and nephew Michael Booth and her lifelong friends Joan Pinney and Maureen Zucker.
