Robert Joseph Green

Graveside service for Robert Joseph Green will be 10 a.m., Friday, May 25, 2012, at Winganon Cemetery with Pastor Bernadean Carter officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the U.S. Navy. Burial will follow under the direction of Chelsea Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thurs. 1-6 p.m.

Robert died Mon., May 21, 2012, at his home at the age of 75.

The son of Robert Joseph Green, Sr. and Adris J. (Nichols) Green was born July 10, 1936, in Vinita. Robert grew up in the Chelsea area, and later served in the U.S. Navy. On July 29, 1961, Robert married Josephine Frye. Robert worked as a truck driver for Sitton Motor Lines. He enjoyed spending his time at the junk yard looking for treasures, and visiting with his friends at the Okie Dokie.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents; sons: Roger and Bobby; 4 brothers, and 5 sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Josephine of the home; children: Robert Green and wife, Tammy of Sapulpa, Joseph Green and wife, Edith of Nowata, Larry Green and wife, Christina of Salina, and Richard Frye of Nowata, Brenda Royer of Nowata, Robin Willson of Nowata, Kimberly Green of Nowata, and Tammy Heape and husband, Ron of Foyil; and 14 grandchildren.
