Robert Eugene Grimm Sr.

Funeral service for Robert Eugene "Bob" Grimm, Sr. will be 2 p.m., Tues., March 5, at the Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Chapel with his son, Pastor Robert E. "Rob" Grimm, Jr., officiating. Burial with military honors by the U.S. Navy will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Mon. 1-8 p.m., and family will greet friends 6-8 p.m.

Bob passed away Thurs., Feb. 28, 2013, at Forest Hills Care Center, Broken Arrow, at the age of 86.

The son of Charles E. and Edith (Gardner) Grimm was born April 30, 1926, in Kansas City, MO. Bob served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and served as a hospital corpman. On April 5, 1946, he married Mary Ella Williams in the First Baptist Church in Claremore. They made their home in Tulsa. Bob retired from the U.S. Postal Service, and also worked as a dental tech for Daley Laboratories for many years. He enjoyed OU football, basketball, and sports in general. He also enjoyed gardening, and loved spending time with his family and his pets.

Bob is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ella on January 23rd of this year; his parents; and his sister, Carolyn Kaul.

He is survived by his children: Pastor Robert E. "Rob" Grimm, Jr. and wife, Darla Rae of Southwest City, MO, Randall N. "Randy" Grimm and wife, Dana of Moore, and Sharon Lee "Sherrie" Grimm Logan and husband, Robert of Broken Arrow; brother, Carl Grimm of Nevada; grandchildren: Scott Grimm and wife, Deanna, Micah Grimm and wife, Jaye, Caleb Grimm, Charis Grimm, Ashley Grimm Ditto and husband, Chris, Travis Grimm, and Adam Grimm; and great-grandchildren: Gabriel Grimm, Ella Mary Grimm, Hayden Grimm, Delaney Grimm, Greyson Grimm, Brianna Ditto, and Caleb Ditto.
