Funeral service for Robert Lee Hicks will be 2 p.m., Fri., Oct. 26, at the Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Chapel with Rev. Michael Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thurs. 1-8 p.m.
Robert died Sat., Oct. 20, 2012, at the age of 20.
The son of Jerome Lee “Jeremy” Hicks and Debra Lynn (Kiper) Hicks was born July 11, 1992, in Claremore. Robert grew up in Chelsea. He attended Chelsea schools and vo-tech where he studied computer repair. He graduated from Thunderbird Academy 2009, and served in the U.S. Army National Guard. Robert enjoyed playing video games, riding four wheelers, and anything to do with the military.
He is preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Dorothy Roberts.
Robert is survived by his parents: Jeremy Hicks of Chelsea, and Debra Hicks of Oologah; sister, Payten Hicks of Oologah; niece, Keli Deffenbaugh of Oologah; grandparents: Clyde and Sherry Roberts of Chelsea, Michele Medlyn of Mesa, AZ, and Arthur Kiper of Inola; and great-grandparents: Norman and Evelyn Tanner of Prescott Valley, AZ, and Shirley Hobbs of Nowata.
