Robert Dewayne Lafferty

Funeral services for Robert Lafferty will be held on Monday, February 3, 2025, at 10:00am at Bethel Holiness Church in Chelsea, OK. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2025, from 3:00-6:00pm at Bethel Holiness Church. Graveside services for Robert will be held on Monday, February 3, 2025, at 4:30pm at Huffman Cemetery in Ava, MO.

Robert was born on June 23, 1947, near Ava, MO, to Ernest and Lucy (Smith) Lafferty. At age 8, his family moved to Springfield, MO, where he later met Rosemary Jones at West Chestnut Pentecostal Church. The two married on January 14, 1966.

Robert and his family moved to Chelsea, OK, in 1969 before settling in Seymour, MO, in 1972. In 2004, he relocated to Rogersville, MO, before returning to Chelsea around 5 years ago. Throughout his career, Robert worked in the grocery industry, first in the warehouse and later as a delivery driver for Springfield Grocery. He eventually drove for Kraft, where he remained until retirement. Throughout his life Robert worked hard and would do anything to provide for his family. 

He loved attending yard sales and auctions, always finding things to add to his collection.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bill and Olen Lafferty; and sister, Norma Jean Lafferty.

He is survived by his sons, Terry Lafferty and wife Gayla, and Danny Lafferty and wife Julia; grandsons, Dustin Lafferty and wife Kaylyn, Zach Lafferty and wife Haven, Seth Lafferty and wife Shanae, Jacob Lafferty and wife Chasity, Laban Lafferty and wife Allison, Jared Lafferty and wife Cassidy, and Andrew Lafferty; great-grandchildren, Korvin, Lily, Kayson, Serae, Sherilynn, Hayes, Chase, Julianna, Jameson, Danielle, Autrey and Willow Mae; and sister, Betty Winterhalter.
