Graveside service for Robert Lowry "Bob" Walker will be 11 a.m., Fri., Jan. 25, at Woodlawn Cemetery. Burial will follow under the direction of Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Funeral Service & Crematory. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thurs. 1-8 p.m.
Bob passed away Mon., Jan. 21, 2013, at Continuous Care Center, Tulsa, at the age of 82.
The son of William Ben and Beulah Mae (Lowry) Walker was born April 28, 1930, in Brooklyn, NY. Bob spent every summer in Claremore with his grandfather, Benjamin Franklin Lowry, a prominent pioneer of the community. He was very proud of his grandfather. Bob graduated from Baxter Springs High School, Baxter Springs, KS. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He went to work with Rockwell International which later became Boeing. He retired in 1996. His love and passion was taking care of his cattle.
