Born on June 27, 1931, in Claremore, Oklahoma, Ronald was the son of Earl and Edna (Washington) Corley. He spent his formative years in Claremore, where he received his education. Following his schooling, Ronald answered the call to serve his country, serving the United States Army. He valiantly served during the Korean War as a part of the 45th RCN Company from January 1950 until January 1953. It was during this period, on June 27, 1952, while on leave, that he married the love of his life, Nelda Jean Holt.
The couple initially established their home in Claremore before eventually relocating to Indian Hills, Colorado, and later residing on a farm in Jay, Oklahoma, until 1994. He then returned to Claremore continuing his career in construction and the electrical industry until his retirement in 1988. His retirement marked the beginning of a new chapter for Ronald and Nelda, as they embarked on adventures in their RV, exploring the northwest and spending winters in Arizona. Additionally, they frequented their gold mine in Sumpter, Oregon, cherishing each moment of their travels.
A devoted member of Memorial Heights Baptist Church, Ronald was deeply involved in numerous mission trips to Haiti, a cause close to his heart. In his leisure time, he found immense joy in fishing with his son-in-law and grandsons, indulging in Sunday evening ice cream gatherings with church friends at Braums, and, above all, relishing moments spent with his beloved family.
Ronald is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Edna Corley; his wife, Nelda Corley; and his brother Stanley Corley.
He is survived by his loving children: Rolinda Vreeland, Janie Gage and husband Bill, and Ronald M. Corley Jr. and wife Vickie; cherished grandchildren: Traci Ferguson, Jeremy Rader, B.J. Gage, Josh Corley, Nick Corley, Chris Stines, and Heather Trussell, his brother, Wilbur Corley; and numerous other extended family members and dear friends.
