Ronald Eugene Hedges

Funeral service for Ronald Eugene Hedges will be 2 p.m., Mon., March 21, at Friendly Foyil Baptist Church. Burial with military honors by the U.S. Army will follow at Washington Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sun. 1-6 p.m.

Ron passed away Wed., March 16, 2016, at his home at the age of 59.

The son of Ralph Hedges and Opal Ann (Moore) Hedges was born Oct. 15, 1956, in Quincy, IL. The family later moved to Oklahoma, and Ron entered the U.S. Army at the age of 17. On Dec. 28, 1973, he married Donna Kaye Comiford at the Freewill Baptist Church in Claremore. Ron worked as a coal miner for 20 years; and then went to work as a sales representative for Water Products and currently HD Supply. Ron enjoyed his work and helping his customers. Ron loved spending time with his family each weekend; and also enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He is preceded in death by his parents: grandson, Dusty Hedges; and sister, Ruby Cade.

Survivors include his wife, Donna of the home; sons: Ronnie Leroy Heges and wife, Leslie Michelle, Bryan Lee Hedges and wife, April Nicole, and Brandon Eugene Hedges and wife, Andrea Elarie all of Foyil; siblings: Eddie Hedges and wife, Teri, Russell Hedges and wife, Penny, James Hedges, Dennis Hedges, his twin, Donnie Hedges and wife, Cathy, Myrtle Hedges, Freddy Hedges, Diane Frost and husband, Randy, and Marilyn Wolf and husband, Terry; grandchildren: Dylan, Ronnie, Creed, Abigail, Seth, Caitlyn, Leon, Halley, Mikayla, Cody, and McKenzie; and great-grandchildren: Sophie Leanna Marie Hedges, Emma Jane Hedges, and Abrianna Hedges.
