Ronald Adrian Leonard

Funeral service for Ronald Adrian Leonard will be 2 p.m., Fri., April 30, at Claremore Praise Fellowship with Rev. Phil Sallee officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Inola under the direction of Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Funeral Service & Crematory in Claremore. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thurs. 1-8 p.m.

Ronnie died Mon., April 26, 2010, at St. John’s Hospital, Tulsa, at the age of 76.

The son of Johnny and Opal (Holloway) Leonard was born Jan. 3, 1934, in the Keetonville area. He grew up in the Tiawah area, and attended Tiawah and Inola schools. Ronnie then went to work as an iron worker. He worked for Dover Elevators and Otis Elevators in Tulsa; and was a member of Local Iron Workers Union #584. He later went to work with AT&T installing fiber optic lines. On Aug. 21, 1953, Ronnie married Bernice Janzen. Ronnie loved to fish, hunt, and work cattle. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Shriners.

Ronnie is survived by his daughter, Rhonda Bagwell and husband, Charlie of Inola; brother, Johnny Leonard of Claremore; sister, Deenie Peterson of Owasso; grandchildren: Bria Hofstetter and husband, Michael, and Christian Foy; 3 step-grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 7 step-great-grandchildren and half sister Chrisy Chambers.

He is preceded in death by his wife in 1995; parents; his brother, Darrell and half sister Mickey Layton.
