Ronald Robinson

Ronald Bruce Robinson passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on June 10, 2023, in Tulsa Oklahoma at the age of 78. Ron was a devoted husband, dad, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather. 

   Ronald Bruce Robinson was born in Claremore, OK on July 17, 1944. He was the middle son of Dyke and Opal Gann Robinson. He was raised in Claremore and attended Claremore High School graduating in 1962.  In 1966 Ron graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Batchelor of Science Degree in Business. Following graduation, he started his long and rewarding career with Conoco. His career was extensive and led him in several different positions in which he served Conoco in many different locations in the United States and globally. Ron retired from Conoco in 1999 at the age of 55. Ron enjoyed golfing, traveling with Carol, and offering his love and advice to his children and grandchildren on a regular basis. He always spoke of “Family is what matters” and he left this world knowing he was loved by all!

   Surviving are his wife Carol; daughter Ronda and Henry Gonzalez of Baytown, TX., daughter Shari and Russell Burns of Arvada, Co., Grandson Jordan Burns (and Shelby Bohannan) of Denver, Co., Granddaughter Nadia Burns of NYC, NY., Granddaughter Kaitlyn Gonzalez of Dallas, TX.,  Granddaughter Samantha Volking of Baytown Tx, Great-Grandson Lincoln Volking of Baytown, Brother Van Robinson of Claremore, Ok; Brother in law, Glen and Elayne Rust of Houston, Tx ; Sister-in-law Mary Ann Robinson (surviving wife of Jimmy Gann Robinson), Ex-wife Donna Henson of Claremore, OK., and many nephews, nieces and cousins.
