Memorial service for Ronnie Dee Fisher will be 10 a.m., Tues., Feb. 26, at the Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Chapel with Pastor Roger Ballard officiating. Military honors presented by the U.S. Marine Corps.
Ronnie passed away Sat., Feb. 23, 2013, at Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa at the age of 79.
The son of Earl and Loveta (Hamon) Fisher was born Jan. 22, 1934, in Oilton, OK. He attended school in the Oilton and Drumright schools, and later attended school in Claremore. While in school, Ronnie was very active in 4-H, and went to the Kansas City Royal with one of his calves. At the age of 17, Ronnie joined the Marine Corps and served in the Korean War. On Oct. 5, 2002, he married Nancy Jo Ryckert in Eureka Springs. Ronnie worked most of his life in construction. He started as a carpenter and eventually became a general manager. His passion and what he was most proud of was his work as an auctioneer. He owned Sageeyah Auction Company. Ronnie also enjoyed barbecuing, golfing, fishing, and playing cards especially gin.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Sally Miller Walker.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy of the home; children: Orville Fisher and wife, Courtney of Chandler, and Becky Kisner and husband, Mike of Tulsa; step-children: Debbie Haynes of Benton, KY, Clay Ryckert of Baducah, KY, Sandi King and husband, Jimmy of Benton, KY, and Michelle Reed of Benton, KY; grandchildren: Joshua Fisher and wife, Chris of Talala, and Miranda Brown and husband, Jason of Yale; great-grandchildren: Mekenzie, Spencer, Elliott, Meridith, and Josephine; step-grandchildren: Mysti, Michael and Jordan Haynes, Clint King, Mariah, Doug and Drey Reed, and Patty Beal; and 3 step-great-grandchildren.
