Ronnie Darrel Parks

Funeral service for Ronnie Darrel Parks will be held 11:00 Monday, October 28, 2013 at the Westside Church in Claremore. Visitation will be held Sunday, October 27, 2013 from 1 - 6 p.m., family will greet friends from 4-6.

Ronnie passed away Thursday, October 24, 2013 at the age of 64.

The son of Raleigh and Jenetta Goates Parks was born October 16, 1949 in Chelsea, Oklahoma. He attended Chelsea Schools, graduating with the class of 1967. In 1971 he married his high school sweetheart, Odessa Page. They made their home south of Chelsea, where Ronnie was working with his family floor covering business. Later he took a job working for the Hesston Corporation while attending Machinist School. When Hesston Corporation closed, Ronnie went to work for Centrillift/Baker-Hughes Corporation and has been with them 32 years as a Sr. Machinist. Over the years Ronnie found enjoyment in many things, such as having cattle, gardening, RVing, and creating many custom items around the farm. He loved to build and invent things, belonging to an inventors club in Claremore. His main love was his family but his true passion was spending time with his grand-daughters.

He is preceded in death by his parents Raleigh Sr. and Jenetta Parks.

Survivors include his wife, Odessa of the home, sons, Dallen Parks and wife Heather of Claremore and Daren Parks of Miami; grandchildren, Michaela, Makenna and Madalan Parks; brothers, Robert, Eugene, Floyd, John, Leon, Dan, and Raleigh Jr.; sister, Mary Littleton and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
