Bonnie Rosalee Yancy daughter of John William and Ida Mae West was born May 4, 1932 in Lebanon, Missouri. Rosalee married Robbie Gene Yancy and worked for Zebco Reel in Tulsa Oklahoma, starting on the assembly line and later being promoted to inventory control. Upon leaving Zebco, she began a career in commercial transport first as a school bus operator, then OTR truck driver and retiring as a U.S. Mail transporter. While having many endearing qualities and talents, she is best known for her fierce love and devotion to family and extended family. Rosalee had a passion for the outdoors, she loved to fish and hunt and was exceptionally good with a rifle. She adored her Yorkies, Furgee Baby and Puppy Boy. She died peacefully Friday February 16, 2018 at Porta Caeli House in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of eighty five years, nine months and twelve days; her life will be remembered, cherished and celebrated by many.
Rosalee is preceded in death by her parents, six brothers; Howard, John, Todd, Dwite, Wade and Jackie West and three sisters; Pauline Keith, Darlene Siegfried and Wanda Jo Knight.
Rosalee is survived by her sons; Tom Yancy and wife Beverley, Tulsa Oklahoma, Robbie Gene Yancy, Jr., Inola Oklahoma, brother; Harry Don West, Phillipsburg, Missouri and sister; Anna Sue Holland, DeLeon, Texas. Three grandchildren; Tiffany Gardner and husband Damon, Owasso, Oklahoma, Heather Masso and husband Kier, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Rod Yancy and wife Erin, Tulsa, Oklahoma, eight loving great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and many, many dear friends.
Visitation is Wednesday February 20, at Inola Funeral Home 310 North Broadway Inola, Oklahoma 74036, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday February 22, at Inola Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Highland Cemetery 19595 E 595 Rd, Inola, Oklahoma and serving as pall bearers will be Tom Yancy, Robbie Yancy, Damon Gardner, Kier Masso, Sonny West and Jamie West.
